Equation: Notes on the Ramsey Line

EQUATION is a notebook of calculations exploring how the supreme achievement of the Ramsey Line was first conceived, who set it in motion and how so enormous a feat of surveying can be interpreted. By way of reconstructing its dimensions, Equation aims to set out the mathematical and numerological evidence for its original purpose, addressing the possibility that it suggests a deliberate attempt to inscribe the Computus of Ramsey on the English landscape in an age when the expectation of Doomsday was hard-wired into human thought.
