Forever Gone - Paxson's Story

In that moment, she was gone forever. I would never get to hold her in my arms again. I would never see her beautiful face. I would never get to hear her laugh again. My daughter took her own life at the age of 14 years old. In an instant our lives were changed forever. I couldn't breathe, I couldn't think, I couldn't function. I had so many questions. How did I miss this or were there signs all along that I didn't see? No words can describe the loss of a child. This short story simply her story - a raw account of her life and death, and the struggles coping afterwards. My hope is that this story helps at least one person or one family.
