From School Library Journal Gr 3-6-In an accessible and interesting way, readers learn of the lives and successes of six pivotal men. Their influences, obstacles they overcame, paths to fame, and much more are covered. The format and the narratives both contribute to easy understanding. Supplemental text boxes are numerous, but not distracting, and captioned photos/illustrations complement the texts without overpowering them. Through the publisher's website, readers can access video clips, quizzes, slideshows, etc. The "Write a Biography" section at the end of each volume should aide in school projects and encourage critical-thinking and research skills.
