The abuse of amphetamines is a serious problem in the United States among all age groups, from adolescents to those ages 40 and older, according to the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration. Methamphetamine, a form of amphetamine, is about twice as addictive as other amphetamines, making it a particularly worrisome drug.
