Condoleezza Rice gained international recognition when she became Secretary of State under former President George W. Bush, but few people know about her other accomplishments. The book has an excellent time line, a table of contents, a detailed index, and a list of further readings. Although the brief glossary includes words and pronunciations that seem unnecessary, the book itself is worthy of inclusion as an added resource on the life of this important African American woman.
