Diamond hates her alcoholic father who is too weak to protect her from his crackhead girlfriend, Rhonda, who turns a blind eye when her homeboys enter Diamond's room at night. And most of all Diamond hates her mother who abandoned her when she was just a baby. All of this places Diamond on a self destructive path.  When Diamond finds out she is pregnanat she vows to change her life but her father and Rhonda have other plans. In the midst of all this the identity of Diamond's mother is discovered rocking her entire world.
