The Moon Chasers

The Moon Chasers kicks off the chronicles of Porter Smith and Henry Dundridge: high school friends cast through a rare dimensional portal from a speculative near future into an alternate Earth past, where they find themselves on the Island of Puerto Rico in the early-sixteenth century. Only in this alternate past, the first Spanish explorers have failed miserably in their quest to conquer the New World, ultimately being massacred by the Island’s native Taino Indian inhabitants following a cruel occupation and war. After Porter’s and Henry’s unexpected arrival, the Island’s chief declares they are evil Spaniards as well, and the boys soon learn that differences in alternate Earth histories can prove deadly.
