After Amanda is assaulted and becomes pregnant with her attacker's child, she is convinced Joshua, the man she loves, will no longer love her. She now faces a difficult and challenging decision, as she must choose whether or not to accept a marriage proposal from another man that she does not really love. She struggles with wanting what is best for her unborn child and what she feels is the conflict of her own self-interest.
