Based on a true story, St. Louis becomes the backdrop for the life of a twentieth century woman and her determination to survive life's ordeals. Travel to the early 1900's as young Anna Bittner grows up as the youngest of seven children. The family meat market proves prosperous until the untimely murder of her father. Orphaned, as a teenager, she must make a life on her own. Raising a family during the Great Depression and through World War II requires courage and determination. Ordinary only in the sense that she never had wealth or prominence, and extraordinary to all who knew her, she manages to find contentment and happiness, despite the tragedies in her life.
