Early Settlers

Early Settlers presents Upper Canada's past through text, engaging stories, and activities. In this resource, one of the many features is Legacy, which describes the contributions of Aboriginal peoples and early settlers in Upper Canada. The students also meet four Canadian 'students' who encourage them to participate in intersting projects and acquire new skills. Illustrated activity cards in each chapter help students discover occupations from the past. Students are encouraged to draw their own cards to create a game. Key
