The Long Road of Adventure: Flowers on the Wayside

The world is built on stories. Legends and myths all become one in the end. And on Erafore, that which is mythic often carries the truth within it somewhere. Gaelin Arcros, a young, newly minted adventurer, only wants to live his life as he wants while also honoring the man who put him onto the path of a hero. Yet there are events beyond his control that end up forcing him to accompany a runaway princess as she flees her cruel, power hungry grandfather. Swearing to protect her, Gaelin finds that his duty is not as easy as it seems, and being a helpless damsel is the opposite of his new companion's plans. Add to that an enchanted forest, gruesome murders, and the dark machinations of ancient threats which force the pair to confront their own fears in order to live on. The oldest story in existence: that of the Hero and the Princess. But sometimes the hero wants to be the one being saved, and the princess refuses to submit quietly to her cruel destiny.
