The thought of a great awakening/revival in this country is not only impossible but to the well-informed but unbelieving human mind, it is completely ridiculous. Almost everyone, including most professing Christians, believe that Christianity is dead, or at least almost dead in the West. For the most part, at present, that is true. We are definitely living in a modern "dark age". All you have to do to realize that is to be aware of the current events and current thinking of the mainstream of our society. What many do not realize is that this was exactly the situation in England just prior to the great awakening. The situation was not a lot better in the colonies but it was into this situation that God broke through with one of the greatest revivals in history. My sole hope and prayer in writing this is that at least some will be moved to lay hold of God in prayer truly believing him to do the impossible. It is one thing to believe God can, it is another thing to believe that He will. If even just a few totally lay hold of God in believing faith then my goal in writing this will have been accomplished. More important than that, multitudes will be delivered from eternal punishment and the entire trajectory of this nation may be changed. - Soli Deo Gloria
