Have you ever wondered what it's like to actually live in the Andes Mountains in South America? As a teenager, I was fascinated with this very question as well as all things Latin American. Ten years later, I find my South American dream having come true when I moved to Huancayo, Peru (at an altitude of 3,259 metres or 10,692 feet) seven months ago. These descriptive poems express some of my initial impressions with Andean life, describing the scenery, food, plants and people. Each poem is accompanied by a photo to give you a window into my new life in Peru. I hope you enjoy the poems and that they inspire you to appreciate the wonder which surrounds you wherever you are!
