This is the story of Helen known to all of us as Dolores Pierson, "Dee Dee" to her close friends. A secret daughter. Someone else's daughter. An unwanted and victimized tot, little girl, and young teenager, who lived a hell on Earth from the second to the sixteenth year of her life. This is a brief description of the early life of a tot, young girl, and eventually a rebellious teenager, who fought against severe physical and sexual attacks along callous rejections, often demonstrated in numerous and various attempts to murder her mind, self-worth, intellectual stances, and above all, her sanity. The simple, natural, and normal ability of a child to self-actualize was for Helen crushed by brutal acts of coarse barbarism, pitiless in all its aspects, which nearly always defied explanations. Her story is that of a woman who throughout her early life, randomly, chaotically and according to circumstances played the role of a child, child-woman, woman-child, and a woman. It was her way of first dealing with the harm done to her in order to keep her inner sanctum pure and untouched. The defenseless victim of continuous psychological attacks, and rapes by Pete Pierson with the permission and knowledge of his wife, Claudine Lemieux (Pierson, MacNamara) , both her alleged parents - along with the callous and cowardly participation of Annette Lemieux (Robertson) , her 'god-mother'. Throughout her life Helen suffered from that nightmarish Kafkaesque early life, and continually remained in a state of siege, expecting a next attack at any time upon her body or mind. Nevertheless, in spite of that indoctrinated sense of insecurity and still paralyzing fear, dread, and pain, Helen ensured her sanity, integrity, and joie de vivre, remained the most precious and most fundamental elements throughout her life.
