The White Lotus Magazine brings together starting authors, whose work demonstrates a depth of thought and sensitivity of artistic expression through broadly developed worlds and characters, but retains a sense of fun and enjoyment. For any who love science fiction, fantasy, magical realism, art prose, poetry, it is meant for a place where you can enjoy quality and consistent supply.
Released every third full moon, the magazine serializes several different authors, and will be adding to its number. Each serialized story section will have at least eight to twelve thousand words per issue- approximately 25-35 pages in paperback- so that each person may be assured their favorite stories are adequately continued in each release.

Three primary serializations begin with this, the first, issue;

The Void: Shrike Saga, by Elias T. Merryl. Se a thousand years in the future, the Shrike sales through the stars, long since colonized by humanity, and grown far beyond being mere colonies. Industry has given way to bio-tech as the driver of innovation, and solved many of the problems of hunger and health. But the human race remains contentious- join captain Djimon Ryoma and his crew as they strive for their own survival in an increasingly tumultuous environment.

The Tale of Syggan, by Charles Beams. Following a natural shaman of siberian descent, but raised on a diet of French rationalism and the atheism of Voltaire, we enter his story as a life of denial of his visions is brought to a climax, and he is forced to face the reality of the world. Truly for him, an unwelcome enlightenment, as the initial offering is titled.

Ythallos, by Skjoldor Odinson. In this world of elves, dragon, and fae folk, old age's fingers can grasp few, but death stalks the land regardless. The tides of war are stirring, the winds of change blowing, and the words of an ancient prophet speaking of doom remain ever-present in the minds of the wandering mage Haruven as he threads a course through it all.

In addition, are several pieces of art prose which will also be available separately for free. Please like and follow our Facebook page, The White Lotus Magazine, for release information, links, and more! We sincerely hope you enjoy this initial offering, and encourage you to spread the word if you do.
