Impermanence

"Impermanence" paints a portrait of a somewhat arrogant music student disillusioned by his mysterious past. His misfortune suddenly turns around when, despite his cynicism, he lands an apprenticeship under a professional musician and meets another young intellectual he builds a tentative, but eventually important, bond with. However, there is trouble in paradise. He begins to have strange dreams of people from his past as well as a dour figure who probes his mind with questionable, ominous metaphors and visions. Just as he achieves that which he dreamed of since childhood, the unimaginable happens ... Despite the book's indulgence in aesthetics and romanticism, the content may not be for the faint of heart.
