Kate Winters should be celebrating. After passing the usually fatal Goddess Test (for Persephone's replacement), she fell in love with Henry/Hades, gained immortality, and got married. Now she is returning after summer to claim her throne. Nothing goes right, however. Hades seems cold and distant; Kate cannot determine if he really loves her. Then the evil Calliope/Hera, who also loves Henry, helps the imprisoned Titan Cronus start breaking free. Titans can kill deities, and the Olympians may not be strong enough to defeat him this time. The only person who could help is the long-dead Persephone, whom Henry has loved for an eon. Does Kate have the strength—or the will—to search the Underworld for her? This new take on Greek mythology is a mixed bag.
