Who We Once Were

Who We Once Were is a poetic reminder that no one begins life without purpose or destiny. Divergent paths can interrupt our discovery of who we were created to become. Consequently, we sometimes lose ourselves in love, pain, heartache, sorrow, joy, success, failure, loss, tragedy and even triumph. Using a myriad of poetic styles and techniques, the author reminds us that every experience in life leads us to a moment of introspection, where we are re-directed to our purpose and destiny. It is at that point of genuine introspection - when we take life at life's terms - that we synchronize ourselves with the Master Plan; reclaim ownership of our lost souls; and re-discover "WHO WE ONCE WERE." In Part Two of Who We Once Were, the author takes us back into the lives of the Fisher Family and allows us to see how three siblings are influenced so differently by the same surroundings and experiences. The pace picks up as the author skillfully uses a flashback technique to take the reader on a tantalizing journey into three distinct personalities. The by-products of this journey are lessons about fear, death, pain, and family - however, these lessons are not for the weak at heart. Southern - though they may be - they don't mix well with lemonade and sweet potato pie!
