Forgive Myself

I built a fortress to hide from the world. I built a prison to lock up my heart and soul. But life has a way of tearing down walls. Institutionalized at thirteen, diagnosed schizophrenic at 24, losing a son at 45, this is the story of how my walls shattered, my defenses collapsed and I was given the gift of confronting my deepest fears. It is also the story of the people in my life, those who wounded me, those I wounded, those who inspired me and those who loved me and taught me to love. It is a story about a boy filled with rage who dreamed of becoming a man capable of love.
