In this thrilling journey into the mysteries of our cosmos, bestselling author Michio Kaku takes us on a dizzying ride to explore black holes and time machines, multidimensional space and, most tantalizing of all, the possibility that parallel universes may lay alongside our own. Kaku skillfully guides us through the latest innovations in string theory and its latest iteration, M-theory, which posits that our universe may be just one in an endless multiverse, a singular bubble floating in a sea of infinite bubble universes. If M-theory is proven correct, we may perhaps finally find answer to the question, “What happened before the big bang?” This is an exciting and unforgettable introduction into the new cutting-edge theories of physics and cosmology from one of the pre-eminent voices in the field.

If you are fascinated by cosmology and physics relating to the cosmos this book is for you.

As those into the hard sciences know we have come a long way in the study of modern day physics and cosmology. What used to be considered science fiction and pseudoscience has become acceptable and valid scientific theories and hypothesis. The last six months I have been reading numerous books on physic, cosmology, time travel and related topics. I just finished this fascinating 436 page soft book (Parallel Worlds: The science of alternative universes and our future in the cosmos by Michio Kaku) and found it to be a delightful read. I had read sever previous books by this author so I was familiar with his work. This book explains in great detail the most recent developments in physics and cosmological theories. This easy to read book is organized into three parts: The first part (The Universe) covers baby pictures of the universe, the paradoxical universe, the big bang, and inflation and parallel universes. The second part (The multiverse) explores dimensional portals and time travel, parallel Quantum Universes, M-Theory, a designer universe, and searching for echoes from the eleventh dimension. The final part (Escape into hyperspace) focuses on the end of everything, escaping the universe and beyond the multiverse. If cosmology, physics and other universes fascinates you this is a book you should check out. Rating: 5 Stars. Joseph J.
