Revolver 13 is a fictitious story that revolves around the life of one specific weapon, a pearl handled, chrome plated, .38 caliber, snubbed nosed revolver. It is the star, the main focus, as it travels to many owners through a society in a south Texas town in the United States. Sometimes the weapon is used for good and sometimes bad, but in every case it's deadly. The story is a gritty crime thriller that explores the topical issue of gun violence of America in a number of compelling ways, and from many points of view. The storytelling structure of short vignettes adds to making this an interesting read. Revolver 13 is an unusual thriller, but in it's unpredictable pace it's fun to see the different misadventures the pistol has with it's many different owners. It is their unique involvement in the revolver that is a pivotal part throughout the book.
