John and Wendy Markham moved to West Henford in Kent to enjoy their retirement in their new semi rural home. However soon after the move, John gets caught up in the police investigation into the murder of a female on the banks of the canal near their home.
Fearing he is the only suspect, John sets about finding out what really happened. His pursuit of the truth, risks both his own safety and his relationship with Wendy.
