The Pinnacle

The PINNACLE asks, would you give up your emotional freedom to make the world a better place? This is the dilemma facing 21-year-old Anna Black. Whisked out of her normal life on an otherwise typical day, Anna suddenly finds herself in the custody of a mysterious corporation called The Pinnacle - located somewhere over the hilltops, away from society. The Pinnacle's stated mission is to rid the world of crime, and they've selected Anna and twenty-three other test subjects to participate in a series of virtual-reality challenges to test their emotions and collect data using cutting-edge technology. But as the trials become more and more emotionally challenging, Anna begins to question if the corporation is taking their mission too far. Through Anna's journey, THE PINNACLE touches upon the future of neurology, emotions, trust, social groups, human nature, and the promises and perils of technology, but can Anna and the others resist the high-tech tools innovated by the trial leaders and ultimately escape the Pinnacle for good?
