Mezox is an average resident of 22nd century London when he is thrust into a fight for survival after learning of his father's historical and technical secrets while working under him at a weapons research facility. A new technique for synthesising antimatter must be taken to the democratic separatists and developed. He meets unusual characters that help him along the way. Others seek its power, including Summanus, who has an odd fixation with him and his family. The race is on to defend their new realm, Hypatia, from many powerful foes, including the Christian Alliance.
