DCI Jim Moody, experienced copper of 30 years, has been tasked with tracking down the murderer of a young child who has been sexually abused prior to being killed. With good police work, the DCI seeks to speak to a woman, Marjorie, the tenant of the apartment where the child was found, but she has gone missing. The DCI follows his nose, and manages to track down the missing woman, who is selling sex to perverted customers, any sex, where it is discovered that the woman may have orchestrated the murder of her own child for profit. Marjorie is no pleasant human being, and the DCI finds himself fighting for his life when he is on the receiving end of her manipulation.
