A chronicle of the living members of royal and princely houses, many of them reigning dynasties. The Almanach de Gotha was first published 235 years ago in the tiny Duchy of Saxe-Coburg Gotha. This 1998 Gotha has been compiled under the head of the Perthes dynasty, Stephen Perthes, and covers Europe, South America and the holy Roman Empire. It heralds the return of the genealogical work.
