Former parish priest William Kienzle's mysteries revolve around the sleuthing exploits of Father Koesler. In this story, the priest travels the globe, following clues to the murders of two cardinals as a broad, sinister plot unfolds. Narrator Edward Holland duplicates the mature, calculated, steady thought processes of the priestly detective. His deep voice manages the change in characters with slight differentiation and expertly conveys the transcontinental clues and intrigue.
