Archeologist Sarah Dunnemore is sipping tea at home in a beautiful Tennessee garden when she receives an urgent call on her cell phone -- her brother, a U.S. Marshall, says has been shot by a sniper. Also shot was Rob's partner, Marshall Nate Winter, who eventually heads south from New York City to investigate the relation between the shootings and Sarah's family. Soon Sarah and Nate are embroiled in a dangerous investigation of prominent members of society -- and once again lives are at stake.
