Ethics, Computing, and Genomics

Eighteen contributions from academics and practitioners address a range of social and ethical issues at the intersection of computing technology and genomic research. Early chapters describe four frameworks for analyzing specific controversies: moral, legal, policy, and scientific research. The remaining chapters are arranged into sections covering the ethics of privacy and confidentiality; property rights issues involving genetic/genomic data; and future challenges relating to genomic research.
