My 23 month old son rarely sits down long enough to finish a book (he's got more physical things to do!). Despite this, we sit down multiple times a day and at least try to get in a few pages of various books. He got "Fa La La" in his December 1st box with some winter themed PJs and tree ornament and we have read it hundreds of times so far. *HE* brings the book to us multiples times a day to read -and usually read 2-3 times in a row- and I often find him sitting on the floor and "reading" it by himself. The story is so simple and he knows most of the words to the items you see on the pages: kitty, dog, lights, tree, baby, mama, dada, etc. This makes it really nice to go through because he can point out and say almost everything on each page, which I feel like reinforces his confidence in speaking (he talks, but is much more physical and we are trying to work on his speech). It would also be a really good book for a beginning talker because it would be easy to pick out the items and learn the words. We have one other Leslie Patricelli book, "Tubby", and he loves it as well. I think we are going to be needing to invest in more! Read more
