The Kingfisher Children's Bible Questions and Answers (Questions and Answers)

From School Library Journal Grade 2-4-Chronological excerpts from Old Testament stories and New Testament accounts of Jesus's life and teachings and Paul's experiences answer such questions as, "Why did God send a flood to destroy the world?" and "Who killed John the Baptist?" The material is freely interpreted. The simple, clearly written text in large type is interspersed with brightly colored realistic illustrations in various sizes by several artists, resulting in an eye-catching but somewhat cluttered format. Most of the pictures are repeated in Claire Llewellyn's The Kingfisher Children's Who's Who in the Bible (2002). Citations to specific Scripture passages are not given. Useful as a supplement to Bible-story collections for church-school classes.
