Excellent Resource

Excellent Resource. Comprehensive in 1300 pages of fine print. Covers Exploration, Trade, Ethnic, Religious and racial groups, Arts, Languages, Politics, Sites and events, Law and the Geography. Editor is Prof at Yale. Mostly covers events of the 18th Century but goes back to Paleolithic era when information is available. Cyclopedic in character with entries split out to cover topics from various points of view. 30 pages on Indians alone with separate entries for each tribal group. Recommended readings on each entry up to publication date in 1977. It would be good general reading except for the fine print. Read more
