This true-to-life story becomes an adventure featuring relationships between best friends and family members, an ice-skating accident, and great fun. The first-person narrative is generally snappy but not as compelling as it was in the first two books. However, the fast-paced action accompanied by at least one full-color illustration per double-page spread will appeal to readers who are new to chapter books and comforted by lots of visual input.?Gale W.
