"Dark Lady of the Sonnets" was more than just a fundraiser for the national theatre when it was written in 1910. Shaw had a grudging and deep respect for William Shakespeare, who Shaw believed was every bit as good a dramatists as himself. He tells us "(you) will find that trivial as this little play of mine is, its sketch of Shakespeare is more complete than its levity suggests." Produced at the state of the art recording studios of the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation with sound effects and music. Performed by: Cynthia Dale, Richard Monette, Christopher Newton, and Fiona Reed Music by: Paul Shilton Approximate Duration 1 Hour
