UNIX Tools - Journal of Software: Practice and Experience (Special Issue)

Software Practice and Experience publishes important and seminal papers on software tools. This special issue of the journal concentrates specifically on UNIX tools. Papers range from the operating systems level all the way to the programming environments level. The first two papers describe mechanisms and extensions while the last four papers describe fully fledged tools which exploit the programming philosphy of UNIX in their construction and use.
