Eyes Closed Volume I

I was the sunshine hidden behind the clouds drenched in rain. My smile was radiant, strong enough to make people ache with childlike joy. I myself, only a child, had no knowledge of the world's destruction around me. There was no heartbreak and melancholy, just playgrounds and tea parties because I was too young to understand the meaning of my father's drinking or another man's roaming hands. I was a child. Free and willing and happy as I jumped into every situation eyes closed.
