This is an introductory abnormal psychology text based on DSM IIIR, with up-to-date coverage of controversial topics. Classification is introduced early on in the text and research methods and historical background are presented along with each topic rather than in separate chapters. Offers more thorough coverage of cross-cultural and biological topics than other texts and includes two chapters on substance abuse.
