When everything seems to be without purpose and the world is telling us what's good is evil and what's evil is good there seems to be no end to the chaos around us. Understanding who we are and knowing we are not alone in this world is essential to the Christian life. It's important to know and understand no matter our failures, what we have done in the past or will do in the future, God will never abandoned us.Sometimes, this requires us to be honest and truthful about who we are as a person and requires us to look within our own lives whether good or bad, and face reality. As a man, husband, father, former Pastor, blue collar and white collar worker I've experienced the ups and downs of life. Through anger, hate, failures, addiction, bad decisions, depression and brokenness I discovered and learned God never abandoned me.This book was written with three purposes in mind, First it is a book to my children. Secondly, to those who are broken in spirit. Though you may feel God as abandoned you, Know that God is waiting for you with open arms.Thirdly, to those men and women who feel they are being called by God to the ministry. The ministry is incredibly difficult. It will challenge every area of your life, spiritually, mentally, your family and financially.Understanding God's love and finding forgiveness led me on a journey back to God and Finding my Place in The World.
