This text is an introduction to standard C programming for students who are already acquainted with at least one programming language. No background is assumed in any other area of computing. Written by the author of "Learning C++", the book offers a systematic methodology for students trying to master the often cryptic C programming language. The book takes advantage of previous programming courses by first teaching concepts of C that can be compared to other languages. Then after students have absorbed the above material, the author moves on to functions unique to C. Programming examples are are designed to be fairly straightforward. The text contains several exercises at the end of each chapter. An instructor's manual is available.
