could have been better

It wasn't terrible, but I found myself changing words and phrases because "I'd", "she'd", "he'd", etc. became entirely too redundant. The story line was ok. I read someone else's review about this book, and he/she was complaining that Sarah was too busy feeling sorry for herself, and how terribly she spoke of her daughter. I'm going to assume that review was written by a man. I think any mother would admit that, at one time or another, we've all contemplated her thoughts. Overall, not a bad read. I didn't have to force my way through it; I was genuinely interested in how this marriage would turn out. Sounds a lot like what would happen, should that situation ever arise in my marriage (God forbid!). Read more
