From School Library Journal Kindergarten-Grade 1–Beginning readers will enjoy this chapter-style book about a turtle babysitter that takes on the challenge of caring for three lively little frogs. The text is very simple, but highly engaging. Gorbachev's frog characters display the energy and attitudes so typical in young children. Although reluctant at first to surrender to gentle Ms. Turtle's kindness, her young charges inevitably love her by the end of the story. The pen-and-ink and watercolor cartoons seamlessly complement the text. The expressions on the faces of these endearing frogs are priceless. Readers will love to see them jumping on the bed, clamoring for their dinner, singing around the piano, and dressing up. They will love Ms. Turtle as well. A grand addition to the easy-reader shelves.
